Yue Lin’s words of mockery were instantly stuck in his throat.

He stared in disbelief at that single lotus petal.

A sword giving rise to a lotus, this was the hallmark of reaching the first level of the Lotus Sword Technique!

Yun Jin had actually mastered a mid-tier Xuan level sword technique?

No. Impossible. Something was definitely fishy.

Ruan Jun thought the same. He snapped, “Si Wanning, did you do something behind the scenes? Create some kind of illusion to fake the lotus bloom?”

Si Wanning raised her hands, palms empty. “Go ahead, tell me. What exactly did I do?”

Ruan Jun didn’t know. But that didn’t stop him from believing it anyway.

He said coldly, “A new disciple who had only three days in the sect, already mastered a mid-tier Xuan level sword technique. Do you take me for a fool?”

Yun Jin suddenly sighed.

“Senior Brother Ruan, truthfully, I don’t resent your actions today at all.”

Ruan Jun: “???”

Had this been before, he might’ve thought she was trying to appease him. Now, he only felt another outrageous remark coming.

Ruan Jun’s face was livid. He turned to Yue Lin. “Hall Master Yue! There’s something shady here! Even if she did learn the Xuan level sword technique, it still violates sect rules, this is grounds for immediate expulsion! Her little performance just now only proves her guilt, doesn’t it?”

Yue Lin returned to his senses and nodded immediately. “Indeed! Yun Jin, what do you have to say for yourself!”

Yun Jin raised an eyebrow. “Of course I have something to say. Second Senior Sister never taught me the technique. The reason I could learn the Lotus Sword Technique was due to observing her practice.”

Ruan Jun: “???”

The two exchanged a glance and bursted into laughter.

Ruan Jun looked smug. “Absurd nonsense is one thing when you spout it to me, but now you dare say that before the Hall Master? That’s an additional offense!”

“Idiots shouldn’t talk,” Yun Jin said bluntly.

Ruan Jun gritted his teeth. He swore he would kill Yun Jin one day!

Even Yue Zhao looked surprised.

For the longest time, he’d proudly held the number one spot on Ruan Jun’s “Most Hated” list.

And now, in just a few days, his junior sister has already surpassed him.

He almost felt a little left behind.

Was she calling him an idiot too?

The disciple glanced at Ruan Jun.

Only then did the disciple step up onto the platform.

He immediately began demonstrating his sword technique.

“Langya Sword Technique. High-tier Huang level Grade.”

Yun Jin couldn’t be bothered to read the full description, and directly had the system simplify it.

As expected, Huang level sword techniques didn’t hold a candle to Xuan level ones.
