AMSSO-Chapter 31: Opening the Storage Bags
by Jun Jun“Where did these storage bags come from?!”
Qin Yiwei and the others looked at the storage bags on the ground, utterly dumbfounded.
There were a total of five storage bags here. Other than one that was relatively plain, the rest were quite ornate.
At a glance, these were definitely not comparable to their own storage bags.
Their spatial capacity must be much, much larger!
But where did these storage bags come from?
Everyone’s gaze turned to the black-and-white little ball rolling on the ground chewing on its own paws, and then shifted their questioning eyes toward their master.
“Ying~”
The little ball was eating with satisfaction, having already forgotten its earlier fear. It had started amusing itself and did not care about them at all.
—Truly a carefree bear cub.
Although the little one did not answer, Mu Shiyue could more or less guess the situation.
“They should’ve been taken from those people.” She explained, “Those people were probably the strongest among that group. Since they were being chased by the Rakshasa Wolf, they must’ve been taking turns holding the Iron-Eating Beast cub.”
Therefore, the little one swiped the storage bags off them.
Mu Shiyue thought it was normal, but the others all widened their eyes, “This little thing even has such an ability?!”
“They didn’t notice at all?”
“Where did it even hide the storage bags?”
Everyone was full of questions.
“Don’t be fooled by the Iron-Eating Beast’s bulky body, its paws are very nimble. And it also has a small personal space, just enough to hide storage bags.”
Mu Shiyue stroked the little one chewing it’s own paw while she enjoyed the soft fluffy touch, explaining, “Most importantly, the situation was very urgent at that moment, those people had no time to worry about storage bags.”
The leader was a Golden Core cultivator, yet that group was chased into such a sorry state by a third-rank Rakshasa Wolf. It meant they must’ve already encountered other dangers before and had consumed much of their strength.
So, overexerted, they had no time to care about their storage bags, this was completely normal.
Besides, who would expect such a little thing to have this ability?
After all, the beasts known for stealing were generally monkey-type spirit beasts.
“Iron-Eating Beasts even have personal space?”
Everyone was surprised, “We never heard of that before!”
“It’s normal to not know about it.” Qin Yiwei nodded in agreement with her master’s explanation. “After all, how many people ever get the chance to be in such close contact with an Iron-Eating Beast cub?”
Other than Myriad Beast Sect, which specializes in beast taming, who else would have such an opportunity?
And even if they did, they would not encounter a situation like this.
So, those people, unguarded, had their storage bags swiped away by the cub, it was not strange at all.
After understanding the situation, everyone revealed schadenfreude smiles.
“Serves them right! Who told them to have bad intentions!” Jiang Yunnuan also mocked coldly.
Although their master hadn’t told them the exact details, by seeing the destroyed kitchen and the dead Rakshasa Wolf, they could guess what’d happened.
And both Jiang Yunnuan and Qin Yiwei recognized some of those people and knew their personalities, naturally they would not be up to anything good.
“They must’ve already realized their storage bags are gone by now.” Chu Jingzhuo frowned. “Will they come back looking for them?”
“Would they dare?” Mu Shiyue smiled faintly.
Everyone’s eyes turned to the Soul-Devouring Tiger dozing nearby, and they all understood.
Yes, who would dare come back here?
“If they do come back, all the better.” Qin Yiwei sneered. “We’ll just keep them here.”
“Exactly!” Jiang Yunnuan sneered as well. “Let them never return!”
Xin Jinrui and Chu Jingzhuo exchanged a glance, both a little surprised.
These two senior/junior sisters seemed a little too excited.
But in truth, those people probably wouldn’t dare come back, since the Soul-Devouring Tiger was here.
“Then what do we do now?” Chu Jingzhuo looked at the storage bags with a bit of a headache. “We can’t open them, right?”
These storage bags were obviously high-grade items.
If it were the ordinary storage bags they had, anyone could use them once taken.
But these storage bags clearly had their owners’ spiritual sense bound to them.
Only if the imprint was erased could the bags be opened.
However, unless the owners died or willingly released the imprint, their spiritual sense would not dissipate.
But the people who lost these storage bags were obviously still alive, and it was impossible for them to just go kill them.
So they would have to find a refiner to handle it.
Yet ordinary refiners would not do this sort of thing.
If handled improperly and the owner became aware, it would be troublesome.
They’re not afraid of being discovered, but they couldn’t afford a refiner—the fee was too high!
Chu Jingzhuo’s words reminded the others, and they immediately looked disappointed.
“Then we can only stare at them?” Xin Jinrui was also full of regret.
Qin Yiwei frowned as well.
It pleased her greatly that Zhao Hanxue’s group lost their storage bags.
But these storage bags are not easy to deal with!
“How about we just break them open directly?” Xin Jinrui was eager to try.
“No!” Qin Yiwei shook her head. “If we violently break them open, the contents inside might be destroyed.”
“Yes, there must be many treasures inside. If they were just wasted like this, how regrettable would that be.” Chu Jingzhuo also rejected the idea.
“Then what do we do? Just stare at them like this?”
Jiang Yunnuan snapped out of her anger and memories, and also gave a serious suggestion, “Then I’ll work hard at practicing refining and strive to dismantle them as soon as possible!”
Qin Yiwei also nodded. Aside from this, there was no other way.
Xin Jinrui was very regretful, “Then we won’t be able to see what’s inside for now.”
Chu Jingzhuo also sighed, “It just doesn’t feel satisfying enough.”
The others all agreed.
Isn’t that true?
Those people nearly got their master killed. Even though they lost their storage bags, since they themselves could not deal with them, it still felt like those people hadn’t really been punished.
That breath of anger couldn’t be fully vented.
While the few of them looked worried, Mu Shiyue instead smiled, “What’s so hard about this?”
She directly picked up the most ornate storage bag.
While everyone was still puzzled, her fingers rubbed over the surface of the storage bag a few times.
Then, everyone heard a “pop” sound, as if something had been opened.
“All done.” Mu Shiyue tossed the storage bag to them.
They hurriedly caught it in a fluster, then were shocked to find that the spiritual sense lock on it had been undone!
It was actually undone?!
They instinctively sent their spiritual sense into the storage bag.
The spiritual sense entered the spacious interior without the slightest obstruction, and all the items inside were revealed.
“It really opened!”
Jiang Yunnuan gasped sharply, her whole body trembling with excitement.
With a move of her divine sense, various items appeared on the ground in the next second.
Her mind instantly went blank!
The others weren’t much better off.
They stared, dumbfounded, at the pile of items on the ground, nearly fainting.
How in the world did their master do it?!
“Master, are you a refiner?!”
Jiang Yunnuan’s eyes lit up.
